Some of the words in my people’s language describe things that other languages do not need to describe.
“Skyr” is one of these words. It just means “skyr” and nothing else.

Because most people do not have skyr in their countries they also do not need to have it in their languages. Until they visit me.
But because “skyr” is hard to say, they sometimes call it “yógurt”, even though it is not yógurt. (It is just skyr.)
